Board-level console repair, done properly the first time
TVPartsWorld is a specialist electronics repair workshop. We take on the faults most shops turn away — HDMI ports torn off the board, liquid damage, dead power rails, failed storage and corrupted firmware — using microsoldering and proper diagnostics rather than swapping boards.
We began more than a decade ago repairing televisions and laptops. Consoles became the focus because the work is harder and the need is constant: a PlayStation or Xbox is rarely worth replacing over one failed component, and most of what reaches us has already been written off somewhere else.
Every repair is carried out in-house at our Wolverhampton workshop. Nothing is subcontracted, and nothing leaves the building.
What we actually do
Most “console repair” is substitution: replace the whole board, or the whole unit, and charge accordingly. That is not repair, and you pay for the difference.
We work at component level. We read the fault on the board itself, measure the rails, trace the short and replace the part that failed. A single chip costs a fraction of a mainboard — and your console keeps its own storage, its own licences and your saved games.
Why they end up here
You know the price before we start. Every console is diagnosed first and quoted at a fixed price. No open-ended labour, no surprises at collection.
No fix, no fee. If we cannot repair it, you do not pay for the repair. We would rather hand a console back honestly than charge for a guess.
Your data stays yours. Component-level work leaves the original drive intact, so accounts, games and saves survive the repair.
HDMI & port repair
Snapped or lifted HDMI ports, USB-C charging ports and controller sockets replaced by hand and reflowed to the board.
Liquid damage recovery
Ultrasonic cleaning, corrosion removal and replacement of the components the spill took out — not a wipe-down and hope.
No power & power rails
Dead consoles traced back to the failed regulator, MOSFET or capacitor instead of swapping the power supply and guessing.
Overheating & blue light
Full strip-down, thermal paste and pad renewal, fan service, and diagnosis of whatever caused the overheating in the first place.
Firmware & storage
Corrupted system software, failed drives and boot loops resolved with your data preserved wherever it can be.
Laptops & televisions
The trade we started in. Backlights, panels, charging circuits and mainboard faults on laptops and TVs.

Inside the workshop
Proper repair needs proper equipment: hot air and microsoldering stations, ultrasonic cleaning, a microscope, and a stocked parts wall so routine jobs are not waiting on a delivery.
